A+CAD
Students who learn A+CAD® will be able to easily transition into AutoCAD®. A+CAD® offers the familiar AutoCAD® user-interface and compatibility with AutoCAD® DWG files, commands, LISP programming, and applications. A+CAD® can open, edit, and save any existing DWG file from AutoCAD® 14-2008 without conversion or data loss.
SolidWorks (Engineering/Architecture Suite Only)
SolidWorks is the industry standard for 2D and 3D mechanical design and is used by more than 85% of the world’s top-ranked engineering institutions worldwide. SolidWorks is committed to provide the most innovative resource for learning and teaching across a broad range of engineering, design, and physical science subjects.
ArchiCAD
ArchiCAD is the most comprehensive architectural tool available. More than 60% of the top architectural schools in the United States use ArchiCAD. Architects and designers have utilized ArchiCAD to complete over one million building projects in over 80 countries. ArchiCAD allows the user to create a “virtual building” with all virtual structural elements also referred to as (BIM) Building Information Modeling.

Google SketchUp Pro is used by more than half of the top 150 largest AEC firms in the world. It is the leading 3D sketching and visualization software. It is intuitive, flexible, and easy to use. Also included is Podium, the photo-real rendering plug-in for SketchUp Pro.

The curriculum allows students to explore career paths through real-world projects, while establishing a solid foundation of STEM. These resources are industry and classroom tested with instructional materials including practical problems, lesson plans, PowerPoint’s, review questions, supplemental e-resources, multimedia content and real world project based tutorials. The CAD Academy curriculum brings together some of the foremost drawing and design authors to teach a foundation of engineering and architecture concepts that integrate basic math and science principles. Instructors are encouraged to integrate The CAD Academy curriculum resources into their existing curriculum which they have been successfully teaching over time.
